	The dtSearch Engine provides developer access to indexed, unindexed, full-text and fielded data search options, including support for hundreds of international languages through Unicode.
	The dtSearch Engine also provides developer access to dtSearch’s integrated file parser and file format support.
	File format support includes dtSearch’s WYSIWYG hit highlighted search display of web-ready files.
	File format support includes proprietary built-in HTML converters for non-web-ready files (like OpenOffice and MS Office documents).
	Developer file format support also works in connection with distributed or federated searching, including integrated relevancy ranking and hit-highlighted display of local and remote content.
	For example, the dtSearch Engine for Win & .NET includes a choice of an ADO.NET API, a Java API, a C++ API and a COM API for indexing and searching SQL-type databases, along with associated BLOB data.

Operating through dtSearch Web, the Spider can expand the scope of the searchable database beyond a site's own data to content on third-party Web sites (both publicly available and secure), including support for a wide variety of content (HTML, XML, ASP.NET, MS CMS, SharePoint, etc.) and WYSWYG hit highlighted displays.

The product includes numerous customisation options, so all aspects of the dtSearch Web display can match the style of the rest of the site.

For developers, dtSearch Web includes ASP and ASP.NET interfaces and sample applications, as well as access to the full dtSearch Text Retrieval Engine programming API.

	dtSearch Publish uses a a simple wizard-based setup to create the instantly searchable media.
	For end-users, the media can run with zero footprint, requiring NO INSTALLATION on the user's hard drive.
	Because the dtSearch Publish setup actually runs dtSearch Web on the media, all dtSearch Web features (other than the Spider) are applicable to dtSearch Publish.
	While highly customisable, dtSearch Publish also includes access to the dtSearch Text Retrieval Engine programming API, as an alternative to the dtSearch Publish wizard.
	Note: Allows for distribution of up to 250 identical content CDs, DVDs and other portable media, including “search only” functionality (i.e. without giving end-users indexing ability). The media may run in an individual usage capacity only, and not from a shared access server such as IIS.
