The Morae Process
Morae consists of three components that work together
to record, observe, log, analyse and share the user experience: Recorder,
Remote Viewer, and Manager.

Morae’s Components
Morae Recorder
Recorder captures audio, video, on-screen activity, and keyboard/mouse
input during a research session. Depending on the research methods you're
using, you might record camera video only (no screen recording).
Purchase additional Recorder licenses to enable multiple, simultaneous
sessions.
Morae Observer
Observer enables team members to watch the customer’s experience, make
notes, and flag tasks in real time. Observer connects to the computer
running Recorder via your network (LAN/WAN/VPN).
Multiple Observers can be connected to a single Recorder. Purchase
additional Observer licenses to give more people on your team a chance to
observe sessions…or to support multiple, simultaneous sessions.
Morae Manager
Use Manager to view and analyse Morae recordings,
automatically calculate metrics, generate graphs, and create highlight
videos to share with stakeholders. Manager is used after the session; not
during.
Start with the Bundle
The Morae Bundle includes one copy each of Recorder, Observer, and
Manager—everything you need to get started with Morae.
You can add more copies of each component at any time, to expand your
customer research capabilities...
Morae Licensing Terms
One Morae Manager license gives you the right to
install Manager on two computers (e.g., desktop and laptop or "lab" and
"personal" computer) as long as you're not running it simultaneously on both
computers.
Both Morae Recorder and Morae Observer can be installed and uninstalled on
multiple computers as long as each is installed on only one computer at a
time. This gives you the flexibility to conduct testing on different systems
in different locations.

Morae COM Server
Morae Recorder supports a COM server. Using Morae Recorder’s COM server you
can record a user’s interaction with the Windows desktop environment. You
can also programmatically insert markers to denote certain events and save
the recording to open later in Morae Manager for a usability review.
Morae’s COM Server is built into Recorder. To start using it, purchase and
install Morae. Installing Morae Recorder automatically registers the COM
Server and makes it available to other applications. More
